honestly, a star wars battlefront like game i think could be perfect for mass effect. if only.
yes they are, and for one main reason, people dont understand what graphics means. Graphical power is just the amount of triangles you can use for models and backgrounds. Its all to do with textures and the choice of colour range, and i dont care if its as photorealistic as possible, as long as it looks good and plays well, which is how games were, and how they should be now.
so youre not going to get it because some textures which you arent going to pay attention to as youre running past them dont look as nice as a pc game? looks mean next to nothing!! the gameplay is excellent on all formats, and that it why you should buy this game! all this pc is better than consoles argument is absolute nonsense because when it comes down to it, people end up getting used to the looks, and more focused on the gameplay.
clearly you have no idea, as this isnt just a few lines of code you have to copy-paste. it would be months of work, lining up animations, implementing more code for the controls, sorting out bugs, it just isnt in their interest.
firstly by definition you cannot get addicted to things like achievements, as you are not physical and psychological dependenant upon psychoactive substances as its definition, what youre thinking of is compulsion.
secondly, i enjoy collection achievements for me, and if it gets me more hours of gameplay out of something ive purchased what is wrong with that?
finally, dont ever tell me how to play my games. i will play them how i like, and if getting achievements gives me adde...
rock band is just less reliable when it comes to responsiveness. also circles are easier to line up than squares. rock band does have the better soundtrack, but the gameplay is more flawed.
remember when fixing gameplay was patched in? and not an entirely new game for 40 quid minimum?
Well thats an rpg for you. That is literally what an rpg is. Mass effect is a shooter now, no getting past that. Not that its a bad thing, but its a far different game than mass effect 1, and has too few rpg elements to be called an rpg if anything else gets taken out.
Either way i cant wait for it, and i hope it lives up to the predecessors, but i definitely would like for it to be more rpg-like without taking out the shooter action brought into 2.
Right i know several people in high up places in the gaming industry, moving into it myself and let me tell you no-one takes cod seriously. Its a fad, nothing more. Something will take its place and that will come sooner than you think.
the tales of series is nothing to be sniffed at. neither is persona or dragon quest. Also ffX in my opinion is not that good. The story is predictable dull and cookie cutter, the music is one of the better aspects, but there was little in the way of exploration, being walking down a canyon for hours. I dont think its that different from a FF13 with towns.
it doesnt matter at all. if the framerate is fixed, then the human eye wont detect anything different, itll just see moving picture. even at 25 frames a second, itll look just fine. In fact 60 frames a second is eating up the processing time for a games console, and it is far more efficient to have 30 frames per second.

right now graphics dont need to updated. Graphics as they are, are fine. Aesthetics are what need to be worked on. Thats what people should really want in their games, not more polygons, more in depth colour and realism, which quite frankly ive seen done in lots more of nintendos work than in sonys.
Of course ill be hated for this, but if you really want good looking games, power just isnt needed as much anymore.
it is subjective agreed, however the ps3 has no advantage at the moment. no-one is halfway to using it at its full potential or the 360, and until someone does then im just going to go with what i can see. which is right now both have room for improvement, and no games have hit the limit yet.

Quite simply, you are in control of your own time. If you want to finish a game, half the fun is putting the effort into finishing it, like putting time into building a model or learning an instrument.
There are so many games, if you want to save some time to yourself either a:)put it down and come back to it later, or b:) play shorter games.
Clearly not many book readers here. Gears' story is exactly how a good book series writes a story. More and more questions with many subtle hints along the way if you look for it. Possibly because its written by a book writer.
The pick-ups in gears 2 are a perfect example, they give insight into what might be the cause of why sera is in the state its in, and how life is like beyond all the blood, death and explosions.
