How can you argue against it being a tech demo? They claim it is the "best" solution for developers to use yet it was in a hand full of games? Hell all the Mods that came out for Crysis NEVER made it out the door but one. Mechwarrior Living Legends was/is the only full mod to actually be seen by the public. Crysis was released and was a tech demo that people ate up.

Game Engines aren't.
Unreal Engine IS.
Unreal engine 3 was just an updated UE2 engine. They didn't even have AA in the code and the engine was marketed as a STOP-GAP between Generations of Consoles. It might be a good All-around engine but it doesn't show any of the strengths of any platform.
Patches are what is causing a decline in Developers Q&A. Why should they have to spend Hundreds of hours play testing a game for bugs when they can just release it and have the Q&A testing done by the people stupid enough to buy the game. Bethsada has the WORST record for bugs in games and they continue to just make games and people are stupid enough to buy them and then they bitch and complain about it.

my fear of this game is that someone is gonna play it and think they can fight any/everyone. And after they get their nuts kicked in they will try to sue Sony over it.
Hopefully something other then a gloried tech demo.
It already was known over in Japan to have a mandatory install and that is what led to it being the better version over the 360 port.

This is old news. I remember watching a show on Discovery about 10 years ago where they talked about military training and they showed soldiers playing a game of Quake 2 to learn communication skills.
This guy should say no to video games in General. Yes he had good ideas but his ego and mouth get the best of him.

If only online gaming wasn't around this Gen. You wouldn't see these games coming out of Bethsada/Zenimax. They wouldn't be able to get away with having half the bugs in their games. The online portion of consoles is what is letting them get away with charging people 60$ for a beta game. Marrowind/Oblivion/Fallout3 and now Fallout New Vegas are all games that have been buggy as hell and should be recalled/given to people instead of being sold.

another reason to only rent/borrow the game. I love the Assassins Creed series but Brotherhood is becoming to much of a futurist game to be part of the series.
People want it, but the price is to high in this recession for it to hit the main stream.

It only hurts the Devs more. I was going to go in with a few friends for games, cause we all work different shifts thus we(3) buy 1 game and just take turns playing it. But with online passes coming around we don't buy those games cause only 1 gets online access. So the Devs are only cutting themselves out of the profit.
For those who say "well get your own" Remember some profit is better then NO PROFIT.
