The hitboxes were changed for no reason in Crash and made the gameplay experience worse. Spyro, on the other hand, is an overall an improvement.

The ending of Beyond Good and Evil 1 shows that Jade is connected to the Domz somehow, so it does make sense that she could have been evil in the past. How this all ties together though is yet to be revealed.
