But all the new ideas are generic and boring. J and D was unique and has a lot of potential left as a franchise. it's a creative waste stopping after 4 games or so.
This could have worked. the Jak and Daxter series evolved into a darker and more serious franchise but still with comedic and cartoony aspects. They would have been able to retain the charcters personalities with this artstyle. Daxter would be like Rocket racoon from guardians of the Galaxy: a realistic film that still manages to be funny and have "cartoony elements". Thats what this game could have been - a ncie balance of relaism and cartooniness which was what ND were already doi...
