I hope Horizon dosen't get delayed to 2017, but knowing Sony and their delays lately, I wouldn't be surprised.
Sony has marketed the PS4 very well, so I don't see the Xbox overtaking, let alone catching up anytime soon.
I would have agreed with you.... 2 years ago. Don Mattrick is long gone. Phil Spencer has turned the Xbox brand around and is listening to fan feedback, bringing features and exclusives to the table.
Again, that isn't a valid enough reason to prove why Sony deserved to win November. The Xbox brand is a lot different to what it was a couple years ago.

you really think those games, most of which are fairly niche, gave Sony the advantage this holiday? The reason they sold so well is due to their 3rd party marketing deals, which made it ou to the impressionable and less industry savvy consumer, that games such as Black Ops, Destiny: Taken King and Assassins Creed are Playstation exclusives, or significantly better on the Playstatipn platform; both cases are not true.
Of course, that was evidently a sure-fire way to financial...
It's still higher rated than Battlefront, BO3 and Rainbow Six ( which are all some of the lowest, if not the lowest, scoring entries in their respective franchises). So I'd say it does matter.
True. Sony also deserved to win the Novemeber NPD, as they had mutiplats that are were also on Xbox One, apparently. Go figure.
Those multiplats are on Xbox too though - they also had Tomb Raider as well. it dosen't matter whether you care about it, it's undeniable that both BC and Halo 5 were both great for consumers. Sony didn't offer anything exclusively on their end this holiday to warrant winning November. This is coming from a guy who owns a PS4 and no Xbox too.
Did it deserve to though? Microsoft brought the consumers Backwards Compatibility, as well as a big holiday exclusive (Halo 5). In comparison, Sony brought us remasters and ps2 games, that we have to buy again..
