Definitely, i just wonder if Wii U will be succesful with this strategy, then Sony and MS will adopt this strategy and we can give farewell to gaming as you know it, since Nintendo isnt going for anything else but shovelware and causals. But as long as its only Nintendo i dont care. But honestly its first Nintendo console i am super non-interested in.
Noone's telling you not be happy with it. Go and take it on boat trip if you like. I for one, am concerned in what state industry is, if people are happy about buying new console which is worse piece of hardware than last gen hardware. Console is after only hardware and nothing more, and it is supposed to allow developers to do whatever they want or at least try and expand possibilites with each new hardware and Nintendo failed at this completely.

Its safe bet not to expect miracles for sure, but i dont doubt games will look stunning next gen. First of all devs want to make best possible graphics, since it gives you edge over competition. Also there is no doubt games will look better than they do right now and even if they would look twice or three times better, i think it will be incredible difference. Anyway as you said, we can just wait and see.

When developer says games can reach Avatar visuals next gen its just figuratively speaking. Of course it wont be technicaly on par, but it doesnt have to be. When feature film is done like this, there are no limitations, no optimalisations, everything is as good as possible to bare bones. Meaning even smallest leaf has physics, 4k textures and no limit on polycount. None of these things is needed in actual games, while the visual fidelity doesnt have to be lower always at first glance.
I would take any day 2-3 true next gen games for line up than this piece of crap line up. Only decent games are Zombi U and Pikmin, which are pretty much current gen games. Rest is available on all platforms so why bother. This lineup doesnt make me want Wii F*ck U at all. One true next gen game perhaps would.
Its not that good, to get new rig or console because of it, no way. Its worth buying arma 2 because of it, but not console. That would be big let down. Its very buggy and a lot of things are simply lame, but its unique game with a lot of cool things, but thats about it.

Box art are not picked just by random. They of course had several versions and showed it to multiple people, thats how you got winning cover, which makes random people most interested in the game. You seriously think box art is picked just by taste or one person or what ? They got cover which they know will sell most well with people unfamiliar with the game based on data.
