I beleive Crytek wants to base their projects on Consoles and the PC because they dont want to be the graphic powerhouse they are now. Think about it. Once they have consoles that can run games that look great and play great on both consoles and PCs Ie. FarCry2. Why do they need to invest so much time perfecting new engines and optimiseing them? Once they have both markets they ultimately win.

I personally dont mind waiting for system potentail. The PS2 and PS3 were this way. If Sony decides to become more casual, I feel that I dont trust the companny anymore.
