I guess the people downvoting us are the ones that think RAM is the only important thing in a console/PC.
Yes that is exactly what is probably happening, but many people are in denial. From Xbone side they are in denial that X1 is still the inferior hardware no matter what and that won't change so they need to get over it. From Sony side people are in denial because they refuse to believe it will have any less than 7GB for games. 5GB-6GB is plenty for 5 or more years and they have room to unlock more if devs demand it. Both MS and Sony will have the ability to do that.

Yeah the people saying more RAM is gonna add magical power to the console are ignorant. 5.5GB of GDDR5 no doubt is gonna be plenty for 5-6 years. Then Sony can optimize the OS to reduce the footprint and unlock over 6GB for devs, same with X1. People need to stop jumping the gun too as well.
Also RAM was one of the more important things this new gen. Last gen they had too little at the end and now I think they will max the GPU and CPU before they hit a RAM limit.
I believe he said it wants to use 5GB not that it uses 5GB. Not sure though.
And even if it does he is more than likely loading the full game world onto the RAM instead of just in chunks. It's entirely possible he is using all the available RAM, but there are many different ways devs can use it and people need to realize that before they mindlessly bash somebody.(Not you iPad, BTW)
Hey Claterz can you please link to where Evo said they have to patch in features on day one? I bet you can't because that was Turn 10 and Forza 5 that has a day one patch to add drivatars and other stuff.

You must have missed the part where CreamSugar has been verified by mods on neogaf and he is legit. It's basically a rule on gaf if you are gonna leak info then you have to be verified by mods or you get banned. He is supposed to have access to NPD data. If he was lying and was just spouting BS he would have been banned long ago.
You know this 985k is not worldwide right? It's only USA figures. Add in probably another million for europe and around 200k for japan and any other countries and were looking at close to 2.5m-2.7m in one month as of july 6th. Add in the weeks after july 6th and it will hit 3 million or more by the end of july. Not to mention there is probably a good 200k for digital sales as well.

If I'm not mistaken Cerny was talking about an eDRAM chip they were thinking of using that was capable of 1000GB/s not that every eDRAM chip is capable of those speeds. I could be mistaken though and that's what it sounds like to me. xbox 360 had eDRAM and it had no where near 1000GB/s.

Good thing it's all opinions on who had the best games. IMO, I liked the ps4 exclusives more than anything MS showed so Sony won in my eyes. Let me guess who like MS's exclusives more. And all I'll say to that is good for you. I could care less who likes what.

Yeah this is what I think it will be. I wonder if they are gonna add different tiers to ps+. Like the regular one will be like the one now with MP as well(can't forget that). Then maybe they will have one for another $10-$20 to add gaikai streaming. And then maybe if someone doesn't care about online they can just do gaikai only for $30 or something. So buying them in a bundle would get you a discount. Hope that makes sense.
God what a load of BS in this post. The reason Gamestop stopped selling xbox one preorders is because they were not happy with xboxs policies. Once MS did a 180 they started taking them again and are still taking them in stores and retail while ps4 is sold out online and in stores.

That's what I was thinking. While they do look somewhat impressive it also looks somewhat odd for some reason. Plus the sand looks way better in UC3 than in these screenshots, imo. These just don't do it for me. Gonna be fun times when Naughty Dog shows off their game and it's loads better than these screenshots.
