That is another thing people do not realize. Sony will spend the next few years promoting the PS3 and Vita. There is no need for a PS4 at the moment. The PS3 is still VERY capable of doing some amazing things.
I agree to some extent. DVD is now a thing of the past when it comes to game storage. But Microsoft will ride that Kinect wave until the very end. That and the upcoming television on Xbox Live and you would think that Microsoft won't be announcing anything new soon either... Too much invested in the current 360.

People need to get over this. You will not see the PS4 any time soon. Sony has too much invested in the PS3 and Jack Tretton even said the PS3 is midway through its life cycle. The PS3 is still very capable of delivering jaw-dropping graphics and gameplay. This article just sounds like a whiny fanboy that just wants to take shots at Nintendo.
The PS3 still has many years of life yet. Look at games like Uncharted 3! They really don't need the PS4 right now. Sony will not be bringing the PS4 out any time soon so get over it. Worthless article.

You make a good point about the used car scenario. Most people buying used at places like GameStop are not aware that if they buy a used game (that has this pass feature), once they get home little do they know that they may have to pay an additional $10 for a "pass" on the PSN and Xbox Live to play it online.
This goes for both 360 and PS3. This will really effect stores like GameStop. Stores like GameStop make most of their profits off of selling used games.
These codes also makes a game less valuable once the pass is used (just look at GameStop trade values). Once you use your code you might as well knock about $10 off of your games trade-in value.

The 3DS has been #1 two of the last three weeks in Japanese hardware sales... and you say it is not taking off?
They made some good games for the Wii... Also good support for the 3DS. Keep um coming Capcom.

Never going to happen. People like to "own" copies of their game... Especially if they can trade them in for other games. It would also spell the end to places like GameStop... which is not going to happen. You can't trade in a cloud game.
I can't wait to see what Retro Studios brings to the Wii U.

Full USB Hard Drive support on the Wii U fixes that. I'd rather be able to buy my own USB HD instead of some overpriced company HD (cough cough Microsoft)...
