I've been saying the Switch will be a repeat of the Wii U, and this is pretty good evidence. Well for 3rd party games it won't be much different. Unless Nintendo funds it themselves, like with Bayonetta 2, which really would make it 2nd party. I'm just hoping Nintendo seriously pumps out a crap load of 1st party games. I do eventually want to buy the thing.
I've been loving every second of it. Feels like what I wanted the original to be. Better controls, better graphics, better side quests. I will admit the stealth quests aren't all that fun, but they are far from awful. This dude is just picky as shit is all.
If they did this for the Switch it might actually sell better than the Wii U. But Nintendo is greedy as holy hell, so sadly it will never happen. But they would have to have ALL Nintendo games ever made. From NES to Wii U available. Just super old NES, SNES, and GBA wouldn't be enough.
And by 2020 everyone will own flying cars, and jetpacks, and have robot sex slaves! Let's be real here. The Switch has an incredibly small chance of doing better than the Wii U. If it manages to sell 15 million by 2020 it will be pretty impressive.
@mcstorm The PS4 can do the same thing as the Switch with a Vita remote play. Most likely at the same price with far more games. We all saw how well remote play worked out though. It's not that the service was bad, it worked surprisingly well. Just no one wanted console games on the go it seems.
Define "way more". The Wii U had quite a lot of 3rd party games when it first started. That all ended very quickly. The Switch will be no different. The ONLY thing it has going for it is portability... and the Vita offered that exact same thing with PS4. So yeah... need I say more? People need to be more realistic with this thing.
