This reminds me of Half-Life. You could shoot the skybox and see bullet holes in it. Totally broke the illusion of being outside. But technically yes, every game is "inside" a skybox. One could even say reality is like that. We are inside the Earth's atmosphere. The only true outside is outer space. Who knows our whole universe could be inside another plane of existence.
