Depends on the game. Some games like FPS want bass and soundstage for positioning and explosions and crap, other games are musical and like to make the atmosphere.
Gaming headsets are designed for some of those things [well, mostly the sound stage and explosions], and the additions of volume and mute/unmute buttons are functional.
But i will always prefer a proper headphone that is neutral, like Shure SRH440 or KRK KNS 8400, with the AntLion ModMic 4.0. Dislike gaming...

Destiny is going to be a generic FPS MMO that is more underwhelming and with less gameplay mechanic than PC equivalents due to the input limitations of the console controllers,

The difference between a hobbyist gamer (or hardcore gamer if you will) and a casual gamer, is that a hobbyist gamer buys games in order to support a developer and their philosophy and practices, while a casual gamer buys games so they can play them and doesn't care, nor is aware, if chipping in their money actually incentivizes disgusting business practice and disgusting operating philosophy. I don't play MOBA so not to LoL, but i do know this is productivity shattering to people.
As far as the rest of the list goes, nope.
For me, the most productivity shattering are Distant Worlds, Mount&Blade Warband, X3 Terran Conflict, Terraria, Skyrim with mods when i'm in the mood for it, King's Bounty games, STALKER, Europa Universalis and Dwarf Fortress.
Upcoming space sim will easily enter this list.
Based on that "89 confirmed missing/reduced features" article, this ain't gonna be something to climb aboard and enjoy in regard to The Sims 4.
Forget not having pools, it seems they have removed 98% of AI in sims given how there is no story/world progression in the game and no gardener, newspapers, repairman, burglars and such (which indicates a lack of basic AI).
No basement, no cars in any form or way, no traits to sims (likes and hates), no disease or illness...
Would have preferred a free basement and pool. But i guess those will come with the Basement Expansion and Pool Expansion packs.
