Will one day be like Laserdiscs, Betamax tapes and such, relics, anachronisms of a time gone by and a "war" that was lost. Think of how much money people invested into HD-DVD and how little it lasted. They defended it tooth and nail when anyone that knew anything knew Bluray would eventually win out as *every* PS3 came with it. Only MS marketing could fool you otherwise.
With physical copies of any product, you, the consumer, can resell it. It's hard to take videos or games to a second hand shop that are stored on my PS3/360/PC. My physical copy of Burnout Paradise will fetch *some* money in exchange whereas my DD copy of Warhawk never will.
Not to mention some folks just flat out like having physical copies of products. Gifts, etc, are just much better as a physical copy than some code you enter to receive said gift.
Is the cost to the consumer. I have the bandwidth, I have the method of receiving the goods, but the cost is the barrier for me. If they seriously wanted DD to contend, they would release product at a bargain basement price to really hammer it home. There's no physical product to ship, no boxing, no store space, many costs that are saved and it's just not passed down. I have the same problem with many Steam games that cost as much, if not more than in-store games. Steam is only nice for ...
Why don't these articles just grow some balls and call their opinions out instead of tossing crap out and having the readers decide? They are all the same and are posed as such ignorant flamebait.
You can always tell an amateur blog when they use junk articles like this with "Is X Product Having Problems??" type articles. For any product line.
"Is N4G Full Of Nothing But 13 Year Old Fanboys?"
"Will the XBOX 360 Make it Past...
"Is LightningPS3PS3PS3PS#Sthree the Worst Poster Ever?"
Not saying he is, I'm simply posing the question for you readers to discern!
I haven't seen anyone complaining about the scores, instead I've seen plenty of "Why Killzone 2 isn't perfect" type articles already. It's meant to imply people are disappointed or expected it to receive perfect 10's when I don't think that is the case.
Next, there will be articles saying, "Why Killzone 2 didn't sell 10 million copies". Not that anyone expected it to, but others will say, "Those idiotic Sony Fanboys! Expecting it to sell 10 million c...
What do you call a duffle bag full of schwag? Did everyone get one? Oh.. no, just the reviewers.

You know if the HD-DVD vs. BR war was still in effect and MS had the Elite 360 for $400 WITH the HD-DVD player add-on and the wireless adapter, it would be called a steal.
Not sure I understand your "Christian" comment. You seem very angry about all of this. Maybe go outside. Get some air. Take a break from the internet.
He's comparing an Arcade unit, a joke of a console with no hard drive and no wireless + a bargain bin Bluray player to a PS3? Get real, that's an insult to people who purchase wise investments instead of just throwing money away on junk that is half supported or breaks down constantly.
Oh that old bit again.. Man you sure are a tired old joke.
20 million consoles sold, 10 million per year isn't selling to anyone, eh?
Justifying what? It's the same price as an Elite with more features. Nothing to justify, it does that itself. Enjoy HD-DVD, ads on your dashboard, and paying for Live.
The XBOX 360 that *almost* matches what the PS3 brings is also (drumroll) - $400.
XBOX 360 Elite

NO Bluray. NO Wireless. NO FREE ONLINE. Can't plug a 500 Gig HD in it for $100. RROD.
A $400 PS3 is a very nice investment for real gamers.
We *did* read the article and that "Update" came after folks started asking where the actual guide was. It was never mentioned to be a two part article with the guide coming until it was updated.
If it were coming to the US. :(
Is a lame attempt to get you to go to another site that charged $30 for the "guide". Very lame.
You said "bullcrap aside"?
But he also knows quality when he buys it with the PS3. Those cost a bit more than the 360, dontcha know?
I was just reading about this game in the latest Game Informer and it said PS3/360/PC. Sucks that it won't come to the PS3, maybe I'll grab it for PC if it's worth anything. There will be plenty of games to keep me busy for a while.
You're right though, the PS3 including Bluray could do nothing but help it's success.
