I am very surprised how people are reacting to something that is totally free. Everything in Home I've played with from Bowling games to billiards to the arcade games has been free. Not $1 a month, not $50 a year, totally free. I guess if you try out Home and don't like it, you can ask for a refund :laugh:
You can acknowledge that Sony copies things but you don't want to think that MS blatantly copies features as well? I think saying Avatars is a direct ripoff of Mii's is something you guys just need to man up and swallow as it's true. The new interface is also a direct rip of the XMB turned sideways. I do wonder if they are going to support all the themes they've charged you guys for over there. Charging for themes.. That's one thing I hope Sony NEVER copies. Nor has ads on the XMB.. Nor ...
People are still excited. Only the "I WANT IT NOW!!!" me first generation of kids have this attitude it seems. Otherwise, quality speaks for itself despite the length of development.

Video sharing isn't one of the reasons I enjoy Home in the state it's in. Being in the beta has opened my eyes to the vast amount of potential in the foundation Sony has set for Home.
I can't wait for the NAMCO arcade.. Or the Konami arcade.. Maybe Capcom. SNK, whatnot. It's also fun to chat it up in real time with nothing but PS3 owners and not have to deal with...
With the PS3, I don't have to buy proprietary $100 HDMI cabling. Or use their proprietary headset. I didn't have to buy one as it supports USB and my cell phone's BT headset.
With MS, you *have* to buy their $100 wireless adapter unless you're smart enough to setup a wireless bridge. You *have* to use their goofy HDMI cable setup for the digital audio, do you not? You have ads on your dashboard... A $200 proprietary Hard Drive! hahaha..

I've had this game since launch but waited until trophies to play it. It's not the type of game I see myself wanting to play twice through just to get trophies again and I've had plenty to keep me busy until trophy day.
The 360 is at the near end of it's lifecycle and this isn't just me saying it, Developers are saying it, including Epic. They stated they have nearly maxed out the 360.

Where is proof of that please besides it just being said to be said? I've heard 360 folks say that quite a bit but never has it been ever backed up. It's FUD spread by MS is all and the facts are the PS3 has more *true* exclusives you have to own a PS3 to play. Not a PC. No Uncharted on PC. No MGS4 on it either. This holidays, the PS3 is going to slaughter the 360 in terms of exclusives and on into 2009.
I'll say it again as for the 360, the Emperor has no clothes.

What on Earth does the 360 have coming in 2009 that makes you think that? By the time people grow tired of playing Gears2, Little Big Planet and Home will be hitting their strides, maintaining the talk of the internet. The user made content in LBP will keep the momentum going on that one along well through 2009. And I haven't even brought up:

Link where Sony themselves said they expect the PS3 to pick up right where the PS2 left off? Where they expected a new, $600 machine to pick up where a near $100 machine left off with an almost 10 year track record please? I think they may have said they expect the PS3 to have the same results, a near 10 year lifespan, but the only ones placing that expectation on the PS3 picking up where the PS2 left off are MS and 360 owners.
