Buy some component cables for your Wii and use it to get some of the best picture quality out of Gamecube games. When you boot up a Gamecube game, press and hold B to have the game enable progressive scan :)

PS2 had a dvd player which bolstered much of its success. I knew people who only used their PS2's for mostly DVD's in comparison to the gamecube which only served one purpose; GAMING! Lol
