I agree with you about sonys position - they are hard to predict because they have the newer console and therefore it should be a while b4 we see a new home console from them!
Microsoft on the other hand i see as being quite easy to predict...
I see them releasing a new home console towards the end of 2012, simply because the 360 is older than the ps3 and the tech inside is starting to get old( has more or less reached its limit)

I think they are pushing for a christmas release but maybe will run out of time to produce enough units to ship for christmas!
price wise its looking like somewhere between £159.99 - £189.99, lets put it this way if kinect is worth £130 then 3ds is worth at least £189.99!!!

I completely agree with you that these are excellent games.
But for me none of these games NEED motion control, infact i found metroid especilly was ruined by motion control ( my arm was killing me after about an hour!!!).
I would much rather have these games with 360/ps3 quality graphics than motion controls!!

Some people think the handling of the cars is too difficult, personnally i think the handling is spot on - challenging but fair.
If supercars were easy to drive we would all be formula 1 drivers!
First off can i just say that although the full body control is impressive i wont be buying as at the moment there are no games i am interested in.
What i will say though is that if microsoft can advertise this correctly then a lot of families will buy into this, i can already hear them saying..."look its like that white dust covered box under our tv but it has NO CONTROLLER GIMMEE GIMMEE GIMMEE!!!!"

I personally hav'nt played it yet ( i live in the U.K ), but if its anything like the first games standard then a 10 is probably justified.
I think it depends on how many minis/ps one classics you are entitled to for the 9.99 a month.
Because you hav'nt even played the game yourself yet you are using someone else negative coments to mask your own feelings on the game!
Instead of using anothers opinion try using your own!
