When I am on a shift at Gamestop many people are shocked when I explain the Wii U is a completely new system.
Many people wanted the New Super Mario World but for original Wii and were very off-put at the idea of buying a new system.
genius controller, terrible name, lack of system power,sub-par online at best, old franchises, lack of mature gaming content....just some of Nintendos problems.
Nintendo did this to themselves.
Wii was a massively successful gimmick.
They rolled the Dice with inferior hardware and software and won with the Wii.
With the Wii U they came up snake eyes.
They pushed their luck this time and hopefully will steer it right in the future.
doubtful though. the company has a strange mentality with competition between Sony and MS.

straight up at Gamestop when we told many we were completely sold out til Mid January of PS4's, they reluctantly bought Xbox ones.
I cant blame them. The hype of new gaming systems are strong.

as an employee I def know GS isnt perfect, but what is in life? It truly is a fun/great part time gig imho

I work at gamestop and I see people commenting on how their happy for these results.
thats not cool. I love working at gamestop because I literally talk about video games all day; and people losing jobs isnt something to be happy about.
GS is my 2nd job (work at hospital as well) but its a wonderful job to have and I wouldnt wish ill on anyone elses jobs lol
