I mean, it's kinda both? I try to explain my thought process in the blog post, but maybe I didn't do so well... but yeah, a game like Guerrilla War is fun -- and has infinite continues, so you can suck as much as you want!
Yeah, I admit, hadn't even heard of this one. Seems like it'd still be worth a try, though, for shooter fans.
I think the distinction between professionals and amateurs is worthwhile. Good call. I guess if you're *not* a journalist, not getting paid for reviews, etc., that's when I have much more of a problem with someone trying to play gatekeeper in the community and belittle others for not being Hardcore Enough.
Your last question is a great one, though -- I do sometimes wonder why (seriously) *so many* people are paid to write about *games.* Good ol' capitalism at wo...
IS IT THE SHOES?!
It's actually Axel from the Twisted Metal series -- and he, in the article, is an example of a character that is not Mario.
Yep, count me in with the crowd rolling their eyes at the atrocious use of the word "literally" here.
This installment plans to cover the earliest video games (pre-arcade, like Computer Space) up through the Atari 2600 days.
I'M THE JUGGERNAUT... MA'AM!
So bitter.

Hey, thanks for reading the entire article in order to understand my argument, then offering a valid critique! I really appreciate it. :) Your ability to cite opinions that I never actually express (you really think I believe other people are not entitled to differing opinions?) is great!

I like how this shows that the original developers basically decided that they did not need to render a ceiling...
Hm. I have an extra copy in excellent shape, if you'd like to email and discuss further: thenintendolegend[at]gmail[dot ]com
Ah, my favorite type of commenter: He who laments "Who cares?" amid a sea of those who do, and believes himself to be the only person in the universe. #FeedingTheTroll
In all seriousness, though, surprised to see so little Wii U coverage on the front page. Perhaps later today!
As Tom said when he pitched the concept to me: "Bring on the hate mail."
This is in reply to Erudito87: The article here says nothing about not being "allowed to criticise anything," nor does it have anything to do with comparison. Merely the fact that complaining about graphics is... silly, ultimately. Games look plenty good enough.
I always find it interesting when the people who try to preach a tolerant message of respecting every viewpoint are the same ones who then resort to such childish retorts as "kindly get off the internet...
Kinda funny you mention that, 'cause that's exactly what Scott wrote about in his column last month: http://1morecastle.com/2012...
This is kinda dumb?
