It might be cheaper, but ownership of games is a tricky subject matter... pay £50 to own the disc on PS4 / Xbox, or pay £50 to own a license to play the game on Switch. What happens in a few years when the servers go down? Nothing to show for your £50.

I presume it’s because the next-gen version (with upgraded visuals and ray tracing etc) is more expensive. Definitely a poor show on Activision’s part to not support the Smart Delivery service.

The press release never actually specifies, although with it being called "Runner2: Chapter 2", I'd guess there's some new content in there.
It's a PS4 game playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility, but there's no native PS5 version.
