Whether this game could run on the ps4 has nothing to do with it. His point is that obviously the X1 is strong enough for excellent visuals, when developed correctly. The ps4 may be stronger but that doesn't change anything. Trolls act like the X1 is incapable of truly great visuals..

Um, it's SUPPOSED to look better on your tv.. The streaming setting is called "Very High", and not "Perfect"..
So as long as it's a step below your tv, then yes, that would be "Very High"and should look very good..
You're SO wrong it's not even funny. Well, it's a little funny... 1600x900 is a 16:9 resolution, just like 1280x720, and they will upscale EXACTLY the same on a 1920x1080 TV, which is also in a 16:9 format, except 900p will be sharper due to having about 50% more pixels than 720P.
So...900P is always better.

That's absolutely, positively, false. There are many charts and guidelines done on the average distance that a person can distinguish pixels and higher detail on tv, and 17 feet is sure as hell not it. It's more like closer than 4 feet..
I have good eyesight and i ran some tests on a 40-inch 1080P tv. I put my xbox 360 to output 720P on Geometry Wars 2 and sat back 6 feet from the tv, as it upscaled it to the 1080 native screen res, and then I put the xbox into full 1...
Sony trolls have eyes better than eagles. They can notice the difference between 1079p and 1080p on a 10-inch screen from 20 feet away. Spot the missing pixels is the name of the game for them!
And people like to think they can see the difference between 900 and 1080 on a TV from a NORMAL viewing distance, but you can't. Simply because you can't see the pixels of either res at 6-10 feet on an average tv.
