point taken but you also have to realize that a couple years from now the graphics that we deem amazing today will simply be average come next gen.
What I'm trying to say is this: if Sony and MS go the route that Nintendo has taken don't expect to see the Uncharteds, the Killzone 2s and the Gears of Wars that we have come to know and love in the next generation of console gaming.
I wouldn't be surprised if this were to happen. Similarly, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony or MS for their "next-gen" console, tires to go after the casual crowd and thus dumb down their product and hide that fact with some seemingly innovative gimmick and in so doing, fool the masses.
Hey it's what works, right? In the end the ones who suffer the most are the ones who have always played and supported these game companies, and it's sad really...
IGN or Gamespot should hire you dude...they won't need to wait for the full game to come out to review it...they just need you to use ur uber ability to judge a good game by one pic.

so it could never look good enough. For some reason, everytime a big title for the PS3 is about to be released, it has to have graphics on the level of or better than Crysis.
Uncharted, GT5:P and MGS4. Am I the only one who has seen and played these games? Or is it that you don't have an HDTV? I can't understand how people still question the power of the PS3 when these games have been out for so long now.
So next year when titles like KZ2 and Heavy Rain hits, the PS3 will still have to prove what it's capable of? Sheesh...
I've been having this problem as well. I was in the beta for awhile no problem, but suddenly I can't log in. Hopefully this issue will be fixed soon.
I actually prefer it that way. The less you see of a great game, the more surprised and blown away you'd be when you actually experience it for yourself, rather than seeing it in a trailer or a bunch of pics beforehand.

I picked up GT5p the other day for a drive around and was in disbelief as to how good the graphics are. Simply amazing job.

That proves you don't even have a PS3. Gogo give us someone's else's PSN name to try and show you have a PS3.
CoD4 plays seamlessly on the PSN, I get a laggy game like one out of every 20, and most times that "laggy" game is playable. You stupid ppl. don't even have a PS3 yet you judge the PSN. Yeah dude that's fair.
PS3 owners are not dumb enough to be swindled out of their money. We paid a premium price for a premium product w/o the need to buy overpriced accessories.
The full package out of the box = The PS3.
