Reading these interviews... its seems like they understand what went wrong with AC3 and AC4 is bringing the best elements of all previous AC games
-Character is more like Ezio
-Distinct locations
-Less handholding
-AC1 assassination structure
-Less Load times
-Reducing the clutter in AC3 by making hunting and crafting make sense
-Make the player feel more involved and intereste...

Edward died 20-30 years after AC4... he was in his 20's when Blackbeard was talking to him.
Im guessing age slowed him down (unlike ezio)

The weird thing about this game is that you play as Haythams father, AC3 tells you about how and when he dies to

Mate... even Im not that excited for AC4.... I loved 2, brotherhood was more of the same but still very fun, revelations was underwhelming... and I was so pumped for 3... but the gameplay and mission structure felt flat.. because I felt fatigued like the article writer.
I was so excited for 3, how they kept saying it would feel like a new IP, that it would be a huge leap, and I was excited. I even played the game early and thought it was great.

Sigh... I feared this would be the wii all over again.
The wii versions of multiple games were essentially the PS2 version with motion controls
^ That was the reason I decided to buy a PS3/360... because I was frustrated by the quality of third party games, and nintendo releases were far and between, only reason I chose PS3 was because I liked the controller more, and didn't want to pay for online

I really want AC to take a break.... I mean I loved 2... liked brotherhood, got bored with revelations and I am torn on 3.
They need time to re-evaluate and make better games.... they say this is from a new team... but how can they fix the flaws of AC3 in such a short time?

I don't know... I got the demo a week early, and it feels really slow
It might be because I am playing metal gear rising, but I don't think the demo was as griping as the GOW3 demo... I played that so many times... but I forced myself to beat the ascension demo once
Also AC3 had a 3 year dev cycle
And this one was in development since 2011
Fact is dev cycle had nothing to do with AC3 feeling disappointing...
Its because they designed the missions poorly.. plain and simple
