1) He took one shot, but if you look carefully the animation is not someone taking a stand to shoot, but rather panic fire... the guy is literally stumbling to get away... which makes sense. If I have friends, I want to alert them that a guy with a gun is here, and group up with them to have strength in numbers. He ran to warn his friends... which is why you here him yell OH SHIT! HES GOT A GUN! HES GOT A GUN! As soon as he gets killed his friend runs over to some one else to say he only sees...
