It tried way too hard to be cool and edgy. I bought it and didn't like the fact you had to constantly keep moving or be punished. The characters acted like idiots too.

Any Dark Souls game is completely beatable you just have to be patient, level up and progress bit by bit. Come to terms with dying right away and you'll be fine.
