The 360 had a whole year head start to refine their graphics. That's a terrible comparison to make. Especially since the cell was very unfamiliar to devs.

@redwin Microsoft didn't start console online gaming. Although not as big, the Sega Dreamcast and also PlayStation 2 had online gaming.
The big question to ask is even if they are saying it won't do this and that... Who actually reads the complete terms and conditions to make sure it's not in the fine print? By clicking that you give consent to everything listed. That goes for everything with terms and conditions. But with the news on them specifically, I would like to be a little cautious.
Guess you didn't hear the news of Forza possibly getting the downgrade treatment like all the other games huh? And I'd rather Sony say little and not make themselves look stupid 3 days out of the week and fix their problems, instead of flaunt all these capabilities and graphics, but have go downgrade everything because the hardware(retail version) can't handle the software. But to each it's own, it's in your face, you just choose not to accept the truth.
Games releases are hit and miss. Been to a few. Some were boring and others were like parties. DJ, cosplay, etc etc... But I've never been to a console midnight release, so I will definitely be there for the upcoming gen. I feel like the energy there is going to be ridiculous. And I'm sure there will be plenty of people that's taking the next day off so they can stay up and play the new consoles. So, I think that will be my next midnight release and after that, who knows.

I would say that they don't really have anything to apologize for. As consumers we look to them to make things for us to enjoy, BUT as a consumer (if you're looking to purchase their system, I'm not) you should at least have the common sense to not be a product loyalist and expect them to be more organized and together with their platform this close to launch.
