Have YOU played the game (I am not talking about what the game companies say or what anyone else says; I am talking about have you actually played the game)? How do you know that it is going to be good? How do you know that it is worth a day one purchase? If you haven't played the game, then you are saying that it is a day one purchase, based on the trailers shown. The "you haven't played it" argument works both ways.

And I have a feeling that even after that explanation, there will be people that still think that we are still overreacting/whining about Dante's looks/hair.
The only thing I can say to them is wait until this happens to a franchise they love, and watch them be labelled as fanboys/whiners/crybabies/etc.
I am afraid I disagree with that; I don't think that DMC fans are overreacting. They are seeing something they love being changed for the worst.

@Sevir Now I have another question: why is it fair for people to praise a game that majority of them probably haven't played, but it is wrong to criticize the game based on the same principle?
If we don't criticize, how will people know what is wrong with their game?
People are disliking the game based on what they have seen; same reason for the people who like the game. If we don't criticize games, they would never improve, wouldn't you agree...
