Here is the solution for everyone, I did it with la noire. If they want to have day one dlc and charge for it wait for the game to go cheaper. I payed 39.99 for LA Noire then I picked up the dlc pass making it a 52.00 purchase. Saving 8 bucks.

I don't think it's so much of a poor mans fix, rather ease of use. I think consoles are less of a headache when it comes to ease of use, tho i've had 2 ps3 repaired and my 4 year old pc is still going strong. So in the long run my pc has come out to be about the same price.
Consoles just seem easier turn it on, things auto update, new features.

I had no problems with frame rates or freezing with the beta, but I started playing the full release and my game seems to have hiccups. My screen will freeze for half a second pretty often when playing MP and it sucks. Ihad no problems in the beta so this is kind of sad.
Love the game tho my cousin and I have been playing and it is great fun, the coop is a blast too.
