Well the PS3 version was already proven to be inferior most often if the game is inferior in a demo comparison there is a reason one version is inferior and will be reflected in the final game.
Devs struggle with the PS3 so they started to cater to the lowest common denominator(PS3) using PS3 as lead so the PS3 would never have to struggle with the 360's advantages by default(despite PS3 being the lead in some games the 360 versions always matched or where/are superior). ...

You have to do your research and then double check it when you read news about Kinect on sites like N4G and on many sites in general. Kinect sparks a deep hate in people due to fear of change like what happened with the Wii.
A group people feel gaming should stick to its traditional form and think anything different will fail as we seen before the Wii came out.

The 360 has more westernized games, has better games in the genre's Americans like to play. The 360 has better system software, better services and connected community-tech and software services Americans come to expect in this day and age.
The Xbox is a new brand compared to the Playstation brand and Americans like new exciting products/brands. No one cares of these PS3 capabilities you speak of Americans largely see consoles as toys not fanitcal ways of life cherished ...
