If Nintendo was to make a new console after the original Wii, it should have been now. I think that they pushed the WiiU way too fast.

RE4 was the last Resident Evil directed by Shinji Mikami, the father of the Survival Horror genre... Resident Evil 5 is when the series turned into an action game. Have you been living under a bridge?
Resident Evil 4 scared the hell out of me. There were many points where I ran out of ammo and actually had to conserve what I had just to get by in certain situations. The regenerators were probably one of the most frightening things in the game.

what i was getting at is that a lot of major developers do this. even Naughty Dog has different teams for different games and you don't see them releasing anything sub-par.
Square Enix has different teams to make different games. For example, Tetsuya Nomura has directed all of the main Kingdom Hearts games and he's directing FFXV. FFXIII Was directed by Motomu Toriyama.

Final Fantasy XV is being directed by Tetsuya Nomura, the same guy that wrote and worked on the gameplay for the original Kingdom Hearts games and for FFVI, and did character designs for FFVII. I have faith in him because he's been with the company a long time and knows what he's doing.
I'm hoping that Square Enix finally opens their damn eyes and realizes that we don't want anything to do with FFXIII. I just want the oldies back... Is that too much to ask?

I'm pretty happy that they're taking a risk with this. There were so many times in FFXIII where I wished Hope would just die. We see children and teens die in movies all the time. Hell, The Last of Us had a depressing opening which hit me right in the feels.
As a frequent gamer, I've had minor hallucinations after playing for very long periods of time but it's a very rare occurrence. I don't see menu boards or anything like that though.
I'm more for the games that a console brings. I don't really use extra features on the console with the exception of the online store.

My god... seriously, PC guys... Just play the game and stop bragging about your damn graphics. It's amazing no matter what it's played on. :\
This is probably one of the reasons I hate PC gamers. Always so full of themselves when it comes to their $800 gaming rig. I'd much rather replay PS1 games than game on a next gen console simply because of story and originality.
There are already about 2 million people waiting to get a PS4 from gamestop.

It would be nice if shinji mikami directed another resident evil game, but i think it's gone way too far down the crapper. Mikami is doing very well making and directing his own games. Can't wait for The Evil Within to release.
