@TGGJustin I buy collectors editions for the extras. They physical disks are pointless, they are installers that require parts of the game to still be downloaded anyways and they make things inconvenient by having to pop a disk in to verify the DRM....THATS ALL THEY DO. This isn't PS3 days where the game runs off the disk.
That's what I'm asking...WHY? All that stupid disk is again....a DRM checker. nothing more. A steelbook can be use to store other things and most people just use them as display pieces anyways
If you're a game collector, collect the game then. No one is stopping you, its not a collectors edition because of the game...its the extras. In 40+ Years good luck playing the disk version as well that requires you to download a good chunk of the game assets anyways and only acts as DRM....it's not rocket science.
Genuinely curious, why are people so obsessed with a physical disk in the box. Everything still has to be installed and in most cases, the missing parts downloaded and updated through PSN anyways. You are literally just putting a disk in to have a DRM check at this point I was personally happy to have a digital version in the collectors edition, pre ordered the Regalia edition myself only because it came digitally
I'm curious what bandwidth the XSX would have if plugged into a set that supports full 48Gbps, the CX only supports 40Gbps. I'm sure the PS5 will update the firmware if needed, maybe when they enable VRR and ALLM.
I don't know if I was lucky, persistent, or both. When Walmart opened the second wave on the 17th I had one in my cart that after 10 minutes was put in the reserve section. Kept telling me it was sold out, I kept refreshing and saw the Pre0Order button again, got to the payment method, repeatedly had to put in my debit card code on the back only to keep telling me there was an error, I stuck with it and it finally went through...so happy!
I may not be a fan of Horizon, but that sequel is a system seller if it makes launch. I'd be hyped if they had announced a new Twisted Metal myself. For me as it stands, while there was definitely good games coming, nothing I had to buy the new system for really yet.
That was just...lackluster. I like the boot screen and smart delivery, but wow did they not deliver. With all the bad press around The Last of Us Part II you would think MS would want to lay down the hammer, instead they coughed up a fur-ball.
Horizon Zero Dawn, Last of Us Part II, Ghosts of Tsuhma, Until Dawn, Infamous Second Son, Bloodborne, Spiderman, God of War, Uncharted 4, Days Gone, The Order 1886, Knack, Death Stranding, Persona 5,
How's that not variety?
The answer is, all 3rd person single player action adventure, semi-open world games or open world games. That is not variety in gameplay. Especially the Naughty Dog games, literally the same gameplay. Stories are great but I ca...
I have never liked them either, you would think after 3 generations of doing triggers they would have figured out that the back needs to curve up so your index fingers rest in them as opposed feeling like they are going to slip off. I like everything else including the new design, button placement, d-pad, analog sticks are comfortable enough though I do prefer the offset design its alright...but those triggers have always sucked.
I think this is a great candidate for a BR Game. Twisted Metal: Black Royale
Yeah that was my bad, you get "some" free games, I don't have much faith in that atm
That $9.99 does not include anything but Destiny 2, you still have to buy games. your paying for the quality really
Could see in the future Sony and MS making consoles with the same specs. Buy games like you would a DVD/Blu-ray/Digital. Sounds nuts but think about home video. You can buy players from any number of companies and play movies from any studio on it. Would be great for gaming.
Makes sense financially as well, its established that these companies make money off of the software not the hardware. It would force them all to step up their game and create amazing content vs ou...

Suppose to be being the operative word, if you go with the base edition good luck, the deluxe edition includes what should be the starter weapons and without them you'll get caught in a vicious cycle of respwning
The core gameplay is fantastic, and there are no MTX atm nor is there any paid DLC. Though I would wait for a sale, I got my copy with my PS4 Pro Purchase and paid $20 to upgrade to the Digital Deluxe version which you will want if you want to compete when you jump in.
I'd actually like to have the UI in HDR throughout, that'd be pretty cool
I'd say if you want one, get it on Black Friday, Gamestop has them for $350 on sale so it's a pretty good deal. Though if you have a 1080p TV you probably won't see much of a difference, I always feel like it should be advertised as Quad HD Console, but since a few games are going over 1440p I guess they can get away with it. Right now if you want a mid-gen upgrade and have a 1080p TV I'd say get the 1X, or if you aren't a fan of M$, wait for the PS5.
You leave your games open on the shelf? Don't think so buddy. Also as stated before it's not really the game on the disk it's a friggin installer that you still have to download part of the game to play, your collecting a DRM checker, this isn't the PS3 days where the whole game was ran on the disk.
