As of last week Sony said they was also joinning into charging people to play online if the bought a second hand game but for some reason alot of you missed this didn't you....Fact of the matter I'm going to get a PS-Jailbreak but I'm going to support gaming studios that really worth my money,firstparty studio's & a hand full of third party...As for EA,Electronic Arts,Capcom,etc I will not waste my money with your garabge ports.
As of last week Mafia 2 & another title that skip my mind was comfirm as working so there goes your BS about Older & Newer FW.Most of the games that was reported not working are now working because they download the game on a extrenal HD & that slowed the process,but now if you download it on the PS3 internal HD it worked.

Sony can only detect the Backup Manger while online....If you are off line they can't detect it & don't have a way to for right now.Because its running a Sony legit code.
People please don't comment if you haven't read the article or understand what's going on.....Its going to take more than a simple FW update to fix this...The dongle block out FW updates also fixes corrupt FW & the dongle has full updatability. Its going to take Sony a while to fix this issue or if they ever do.Sound like this going to be a cat & mouse game like the PSP.
Thank you steve that what most people here are not getting it stop FW from being installed or updated...This isn't a walk in the park for Sony & its going to take them a while just to come up with a solution for this.
To be honest i really don't care because game sales not going to put any money into gamers pockets....This device is real people & its going to take more than a FW update to patch from Sony if what was explained is true.....Also the dongle his updatability.
