Most definetly not at launch; I would need to see video comparisons and technical data to see what sort of improvement it will bring compared to my current ps4. I mean I also have a PC that was built 2 years ago for 800bucks and it's way more powerful than consoles. It will come down to a simple question - upgrade my PC or buy another PS4 - Sony really needs to make a good case for this new PS4 cause I'd rather just upgrade my PC.
I'm talking about the demo, it's clear the graphics are not exactly stellar......Loving all the disagrees. This sort of fanboyish blinded hype is what is destroying the quality of games we get on ps4. Some of you have a short memory.....I've played on all consoles since 20 years ago and this gen is so full of fanboys.....
Not sure what all the hype is about....ok yea you got gazillion planets to explore, but most of them are not that interesting to beging with. Art sytle is awesome I admit, but that's not enough. And the thing doesn't run very well on ps4. I love my PS4, but this game seems better suited for PC.
Gamespot with their 8's, you know they gonna give an 8 if IGN gives a 9, it's almost a rule these days.
@NegativeCreep
Your comment makes no sense at all.....all 3 companies are about to release an entirely new type of tech, all three are VR headsets.....and you're saying they're not competing??Lol............k
1. Low price compared to competition
2. PS4's install base
3. Ease of use
4. Being associated with the Playstation brand
All of the above I think will push PSVR sales way ahead of any competitor really fast.........
I'm sure Oculus and Vive are great, but I believe they will really struggle to go mainstream in the first few years - too expensive: Need a good PC + VR cost....just too many obstacles for the average Joe.
...
Ease of use, great price, a ton of games........no need to say more.
Even if Oculus and Vive might be a bit better in terms of quality they will face an uphill battle trying to compete with PSVR.
1. 15% of PC gamers that can actually run it..........
2. People that actually have the money to buy OCulus or Vive
3. Newcomers facing the prospect of having to buy a new gaming PC + VR......huge costs
Way too many hurdles..........VR on PC...
Finally, and he was being gentle..........the game is a 5 tops, especially when taking into account how it was advertised - it's a generic and downgraded product. It's alright with friends for about an hour and that's about it......
Price will decide the fate of PSVR, that's why Sony is being so secretive about it - anything above 399eur/usd and this thing is DOA in my opinion.
I thik we can start talking about a new phrase: "You just got Xboned" - cancelled/being neglected, etc.
Sad day for gaming.........horrible game, generic,last-gen graphics and zero innovation........
Horrible game, 90% hype.
Not the best example to use, especially since the government IS behind 9/11.
I'm happy cause I have a gaming PC, but anyone saying this won't hurt Xbox one is just delusional. There is now basically nothing that sets xbox apart from a low-end entry level gaming PC.....and that's not a goood thing. With this move, PS4 pretty much becomes the only real console in the market.
Game is terrible. Thank you for the beta Ubisoft, easiest choice ever...PASS.
Give me TLOU2 and I need nothing else.
They need to start making good games again............
With the exception of Bloodborne and Witcher 3, his statement is correct. It's worth noting that some of the best games are coming from Kickstarter as well: Divinity Original Sin, Pillars of Eternity, etc.
Horrible game, biggest fail in 2 years....i played both betas extensively and the game is just garbage in every possible way.
Just waiting for a US president that will go one week without bombing a few weddings and invading independent countries.
