Splinter cell had it since 2002, but MGS had it since 2005 in MGS3: Subsistence...
Before subsistence the camera was locked from above like in MGS 1 and MGS2... And before MGS3 there was even no camoflage...

Remember MGS2? Well when MGS 3 came out kojima ripped off splinter cell. Dont claim otherwise because SC had their gameplay since 2002. MGS first got the free third person camera in MGS 3: Subsistence in 2005.
