@mwjw696 -- The PS1 was white in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia... So yeah.

Xbox as software and services might be; but Xbox as hardware isn't.
Here's a prediction. The PS5 will be Cell/Volta-based... I hope.
Hopefully the journey to PS5 won’t be the same as ‘The Road to PS4’. [1]

The PS3 wasn't 'supposed' to do 120 fps. The PS3 does 120 fps.
Per Ken Kutaragi [1] and Richard Marks [2], the sole purpose for running the PS3 at that rate is so that it could use the PS Eye [3] to "get twice as many video frames to process, which translates into being able to track things twice as fast, or to observing an object at twice as many points along the path it travels". [4]
The only application to deviate away from that ...
Will the Decima engine be pushed to the point where it decimates all other engines?... Time will tell; but if I had to hazard a guess, I would say... Yes it will.
It wouldn't be pretty... http://members.shaw.ca/nerv...
Your emotional state aside… If you don’t think I suck, then why did you use the word scuk [1] and place an asterisk beside it to denote that you had made a typographical error?
In doing so, you suggested that I suck because that’s the only other word -- that I know of -- which can be made from the letters c,k,s and u.
Your unwitting use of the word also suggested to me that you were trying to play it and the word ‘suck’ off of each other as double entendr...
I absolutely agree with the sentiment you’ve expressed.
I would think that Mark and company trying to ensure that they wouldn’t split the install base or alienate standard PS4 owners, while also trying to balance the PS4 Pro’s price to performance equation was probably like trying to walk through a mine field rather than a park.
One misstep and it all blows up in their faces; but thankfully, Mark had Ken Kutaragi, the PS3’s hGPU and SPU task management (...
If the PS4 Pro could read, speak and hold a note of music it would probably sing this little tune [1] after reading TIME's review.

You aren't clever... angry one. Whether you think that I'm a scuk or that I suck, it is neither here nor there.
The PS4 Pro appears to be a much more worthy and competent successor to the PS3*.
Mark Cerny and his team -- with Ken Kutaragi by consultation -- have done yeoman’s work to realize hardware that can effectively service a 4K HDR display. I suspect that it will surprise some and anger others with how capable it is as time goes on.
* Not a typo

I suspect Neo (PS4 Pro) will make believers of many.
There's no need to guess. [1]

The idea is older [1] than that... much older. [2]

Actually, it’s the other way around. The PS3 greatly benefited Sony and Mark Cerny before he stepped up, and continues to be of great benefit to both.
I don’t know how long you’ve been around, but there has never been anyone at SCE/SIE -- past or present -- more dedicated to tech than "The Oracle". [1]

Sony never expected the PS3 to far surpass the PS2 [1], and what fans -- who weren’t shareholders -- expected never mattered.

@TheColbertinator -- You're right. Australia had a white PS1 also; but it looked slightly different though... http://33.media.tumblr.com/...
