It used to be called unlockable content back in the day
It's for both, moreso now than ever. You're both right but it was a bad business practice when Xbox instituted it back on the Xbox 360 as a means to "compete" with PlayStation's exclusivity power because of strong developer relationships, it was Xbox's only way to fight back against that, and look at what it's done to us today. It's no longer about additional content as it was meant to then, no, before the game has gone gold, they dissect the game to sell pie...
I'm actually surprised to see there's a lot of people, just like myself, that have no need or desire for a PS5 Pro and the 50% upgrade their promising really isn't that big of a deal. We also have had no ideal incentive to get a PS5, yet, or in my case to pull it out of storage to really dive in and we're still playing on a PS4 Pro. It sounds like Sony are desperately cranking out hardware to sell but I don't know if anyone is wanting it, for that very reason. Why? There...
Why would you want to make your own consoles look bad?
Wow, three downvotes but no rebutle. Simpletons.......
THIS IS HUGE!!!!! In game development. GTA IV? Metal Gear Solid V? Death Stranding? This is a scratch of open world games that are exactly the opposite. Gamers want to explore worlds.... You just reusing the same assets, how do you describe it. I'm recently playing through GTA IV in its entirety for the first time, a game that in its time was given a perfect 10, by IGN at least. Even by the standards of that day, not a chance. It's about making you go from one side of the map to the o...
Until the next Xbox, right? And back and forth we go. So, where the PS5 Pro is slightly more powerful than the PS5, the PS6 is only 45% more powerful than the PS5 Pro...... Oh, and there's still not a reason to own a PS5, because everything is playable on the PS4 Pro and still playable on base PS4. Mid-gen refreshes suck. Now you're buying a console every 3 years instead of 5 years, unless you got to enjoy the PS3 vs Xbox 360 years where Sony pushed for console longevity of 10 years, ...
It takes a real strong human being to admit to something like that, respect
THE GAME DEVS OF COLOR EXPO..... The shoe is on the left foot and segregation and racism will not die in this country, it's simply taken a different side. In the South, you'll still hear Southerners that are raised on and haven't gotten over it, but the power received by, I guess it's the colored community, is through the roof! Because the white community feels as bad as they do because of what the black community has had to go through, even generations later, it's been at...
Look at him continue to gripe and complain. Xbox goes multiplatform so everyone starts saying everyone else should. When did everyone start backing Xbox? Or maybe it's just the Xbox crowd with the Xbox Live mentality just just throw fits and the PlayStation community are mature enough to just ignore it but now everyone says "Oh, Sony should do the same thing!"
Look if Nintendo, who all they do is gaming, that's it, no end-to-end ecosystem like Sony, and no...
Wow. Xbox decides to throw in the towel and suddenly everyone's running their rescue and putty party and eyeballing sales numbers to try and tell Sony and Nintendo how to do business with "gotchas". It's a friggin Xbox conspiracy. Gee Phil I guess the crybaby, just as this current generation has learned and you see in EVERY aspect of their life, rather than acting like a adult, if you whine and cry enough, you eventually get what you want wearing everyone down until they jus...
What a huge complement. To develop a game that is sooooooo good that you can't anticipate how huge it was going to be and it's sooooooo good you can't even keep up. Other devs will try and mimic it but there's always been something about being second, being you're always going to be last. If you're gonna mimic someone you might as well not even bother.
Gears of War > Quantum Theory
InFamous > Prototype
God of War > Dantes Inferno

DARN RIGHT!! They move the hardware we want. They support the services we want and oppose the services we don't want. The gaming industry seems to look at Nintendo for what to do, even though Nintendos biggest success was the Wii that hasn't seen such success since the NES and barely defeating the Sega Genesis by a small number, Sega having had a REALLY GOOD RUN! But, if Nintendo whose total dependence is on videogames and hardware having their hands on nothing else STILL has exclusiv...
I smell a Video Game crash, not on mobile and mobile will survive, but is mobile gaming really the kind of gaming we want? And if that's really the case, most gamers haven't been all too impressed with the current generation of gaming and have been going back to retro console gaming, maybe moreso now than ever to catch up on their backlog. With trends being the way they are and those current gen seeing the fun those who are having reliving happy memories, they're gonna want the sa...
Xbox sales suck and Final Fantasy is synonymous with PlayStation, always has been. Nobody talks about Final Fantasy on Nintendo at all except for Final Fantasy III on the American Super Nintendo
Xbox doing the marketing job for PlayStation again. They know more copies of these games are gonna sell on PlayStation. Oh well
But everyone needs to stop expecting that Xbox is paving the path for gaming for the future. This mentality has to change, and this isn't a democracy. Xbox is taking this route because they've lost consumer trust and continue to try and take advantage of their customers. They haven't been able to recover from this and are trying to restore their name. Coming in dead last every console generation isn't what Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer wanted, they wanted to compete and be on t...
We knew this. We knew Game Pass isn't good for the industry as a whole which is a huge plus for Xbox taking another step toward third-party l, it could stamp out the horrible business practices they've introduced into gaming.
I didn't learn this until just recently, but Game Pass operates under some really dicey rules. Developers don't find success on Game Pass by Game Sampling, it hurts them. That's why larger companies that publish older games on Game ...
Sounds familiar doesn't it? Xbox has never been creative or innovative
Another Souls type game. Great......
