The online co-op was sweet! Taking on waves of creatures with mini-bosses was so much fun I had forgot that gaming was that much fun. I hope it comes back in R3 but bigger, badder, and most of all... What happens to Nathan Hale!
They really simplified the game but after thinking about it, kinda saves time. The auto heal after battle is nice, and no mp usage for spells and such is also nice. The Chrystarium system isn't the hottest but I'll deal with it. The story doesn't seem bad (I'm only at Ch. 4) and none of the characters are annoying like Star Ocean. The linearity hasn't gotten on my nerves yet but I think it will be tolerable until the later chapters when you can free roam. I didn't expect this game to be a 10/...
Plain and simple!
This game is much better than that! Single player? oh yeah, I almost forgot, they do include single player with these games, hmmmm too busy with multiplayer I think.
Well during my downtime I think a little Team Fortress 2 is in order.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I had to click the link just to get a laugh. I think both systems are going to sell very well. For 360 owners that were Final Fantasy players in previous generations will be able to play the game if they do not own or prefer PS3. Playstation owners are obviously going to pick up the game, well not all but a bunch. I think for PS3 the biggest concern would be God of War 3 releasing just 7 days after. That for me had me thinking, which one do I get but the answer was obvious, buy both. Im sure ...
I had planned on investing much time in FF13 with the hopes to Plat. that game as well but since this game comes out 7 days after it, I think FF may be put on the back burner if opened at all until this game is Plat'd
Damn, and I just installed the Yakuza 3 demo. I suppose we are way behind the Japanese when it comes to these types of games.
Wasn't sure since the pics were so small
of course, when GoW3 looks this good, will they?
This game won't blow your mind or win game of the year but its still pretty fun to play. If you are thinking of holding off on this until it comes down in price, it may be a good move. I just completed the predator campaign and it was fun but short. Online is ok, the survivor mode is pretty fun but again, nothing ground breaking.
I think its cool that 360 owners get the game (and whether its slightly under the PS3 version, its not like its unbearable). PS3 has had some games that looked better on the 360 but I played them anyway and was satisfied with the experience. I would be upset though if the multiple discs issue resulted in less content for the final product. I don't expect SE to officially ever reveal that kind of info but that would just make me a bit unhappy.
It's just funny to me that MS ads are showing up on Playstation specific sites. This isn't under control by the site owners but the advertising company that filters content to that site.
It will be interesting though to see which console sells more units. I am betting my chips on Playstation.
I would think any phone running W7 mobile would be able to access the PSN/Live networks. I am really looking forward to mobile 7 and while a service like this isn't a necessity, its still cool none the less.
Dont really put a lot of thought into review scores, the only part I look for is what content is in the game or the modes offered in multiplayer. I am a big Aliens and Predator fan so I am sure this will be somewhat enjoyable based on that alone. I will need people to play with online for the 6 player trophy so add me up. Put N4G in the comments section of the invite
PSN: NeoBiggs (Yes, I did plat. Demon Souls)
Either this will be a hit or it will be a fail. I own a Wii and while the motion concept doesn't really appeal to me, if this is done right it could be cool. I don't think motion control appeals to the hardcore gamer though, but then again maybe thats not who they are targeting. Either way, the PS3 controller will always be my preferred choice when playing a video game. Hope they release more info soon.
SE is trying to make as much money as possible with this game. I read some good arguments as to the multiple discs putting restraint on the end product. There is no way to confirm this but it is a reasonable assumption since the addition of towns, extras, mini games, etc. may require the user to have to swap discs on a regular basis. I think if the game remained a PS3 exclusive, there would have been more content included. SE is not going to reveal any information that will hurt the potential...
If you want that jrpg fix, then try this out. It wont blow you away and some think it is total crap so it boils down to the individual. I like the sci-fi look of the game and thats what drew me to it. I thought getting a platinum trophy would be good too but the requirements are just insane. I will probably have this beat by the time FF13 launches and then put it aside for a while. If your standards are not set real high, then this game may do it for you (for now) but I do see where some are ...
If versus appears on the Xbox, then it will have to appeal to your general MW2 humping Xbox user.
I was drinking my coffee when i read this and damn near spit it all over the desk. Sorry just thought it was funny.
