I would like to have seen a more streamline tutorial for new people like me because it was a little overwhelming with the lack of hand-holding. But I put about 10 hours into it and I'm Hunter Rank 3, so I think I'm starting to get the hang of it and how the flow of this type of game goes. I have the saying that it's probably one of the best games I've played in many many years.
This is my 1st MH game. It took me a while to understand what the hell I was doing but I think I am starting to get it. This game is pure enjoyment. It's deep and complex and reminds me of Phantasy Star Online when I was a kid. The online is cool and the game as a service side keeps it fresh. I will be played this until the platinum pops and beyond.

Megaman, Horizon, SF, etc... so cool. I love how this game is part games as a service but stays true to the core RPG element.
The only thing that I would have really liked is a little bit more of a streamlined tutorial. As a guy who is new to Monster Hunter, MH:World does not hold your hand whatsoever and throws you right into one of the most complex and deep systems on a console game. This really reminds me a little bit of Phantasy Star Online which helps me make sense. But, after about 10 hours, and really only completing the tutorial and making it up through Hunter Rank 3, I have started to get the hang of comba...

I would have done it simple. Gold for Collosi and Ending, a few others for hidden or unique moments and a platinum. I am not a fan of speed runs at all.

Yes, obviously good exclusives will sell the system.
But, Fable alone won't and what is even worse, is that Forza Horizon is an awesome series. Why stop the dev team from making the best Xbox racer to tackle a game in a genre that isn't easy or their expertise. Sounds like MS is foolishly about to murder 2 Xbox IPs in one swoop.
Just sounds to me like it is a learning curve at you can't get over.
For me I will never be good at a Souls game. MH is great once you "Get it." I'm starting to figure things out and I really am enjoying the game.
