I would say that BOTW is extremely bland and I would definitely take the Witcher 3 out of your list. W3 was open world RPG done right like how God of War linear open is done right.
Play through the demo about 5 or 6 times just to get a feel for this. This is like everything I've wanted from Quantum Dreams. I really like their control scheme in this and it feels like Heavy Rain done 100x better. Can't wait to wait for the game.
What they first started talk about text, I thought they were referring to dialogue captions which I keep turned off. I have no problem reading the text in the menues. I dunno though. 1080p tv and I sit less than 5 feet away..
I am really blown away by the scale of this game. I've popped only 4 of the main line story trophies so far and I think I'm about 15 hours in. I haven't scratched much off and I keep finding more and more. This OPEN LINEAR design is brilliant and a welcomed style. This is a truly hand crafted world to the "T" and everything has been brilliantly created. It's a masterpiece to me!

If I'm not mistaken the first two Shenmue games were ported onto the Xbox after the Dreamcast. Was Shenmue ever on PS2 or GameCube?

I read it. My comment is in reference to a reason I don't like ME retailers getting copies early.
But in regards to the article, I think it's great that the game is not being censored by the government. Freedom of speech is something that I support strongly and artistic expression deserves to be treated with equality.
I don't think the Middle East ever deserves to get any video game of a AAA caliber. Their retailers will leak the game two weeks early which sucks so bad. It's always the UAE and the UK that seem to have stores to break Street dates with no regard to respect.
But funny thing is that the BC Feature is one of the least used. It's like people want it, but don't use it.
I think much of the criticism will be fueled by social and political bias in regards to current politics and the MeToo movement. But maybe not, with the left talking about "forgiveness" since they have sexual assaulters as wel like Al Franken.
