this is great . they can utilise the systems power and forget that gimmiky 3d . i for one never use the 3d its completely turned off on my 3ds but the system is powerful for a handheld. its close to the wii in performance so i don't really care for the 3d if the games awesome so im all for it. good call not demanding 3d for every single game .

i think the combination of not differentiating itself from the ds / ds lite / dsi / dsi xl / people just thought it was just another incarnation of the ds but on the contrary the power of the 3ds is similar to the wii while the old ds barely can catch up to n64 graphics. i think its nintendos fault for releasing so many incarnations of different ds systems that allot of casual parents got confused. then its the price at 250 it was expensive many thought just for 3d? and also the lack of games...
