The headline of the article makes it out to be it was a nightmare due to PS3 hardware limitations, but he's actually talking about the complex architecture. There will always be hardware limitations, what u do with those limitations is the key.
Wasn't one of the main reasons for it not being released, the fear of not living up to the hype. Valve are afraid that after all these years, nothing short of perfection will do, and if it doesn't. It will get butchered like no game has ever before.
@fox I have never heard of Sony pushing UC3 to be shipped early. Sounds like u are so fanboying to Amy, that u will make any excuse for her own mistakes. She is a perfect human being, she possibly can't make any mistakes.
Well, you can't please everybody. Also to be fair UC3 was the worst of the series for me. UC2, UC4, UC, and then UC3 for me. With Druckmann behind UC4 and UC2.
Try to make a true survival horror game, people still bitch and wine. Sometimes game companies can't win at all. Happy to see majority of the people enjoyed the experience.

For me, Code Veronica was the last good RE game. RE4/5/6 were all far from being a survival horror game. I'm really enjoying playing the HD remasters of RE1 and Zero.
Considering A.Wesker is one of the most popular RE characters of all time. No way was he going to stay dead. I wonder if we will see him in RE7.

It's pretty sad, those gorgeous graphics are being wasted on a pachinko machine. Hopefully Konami will stop being stupid, and release a full MGS3 and MGS remake with those quality visuals.
Just add a optional third person camera option for the non VR mode, and I'm golden. RE4 was a great game, but it was far from being a survival horror as it can get. Sure it had horrific monsters, but so did RE5 and RE6. RE5 was ok, and it was the highest selling RE game. Problem with RE6 is, it had overblown budget, tried way too many things, it was trying to appeal to both the PS1 RE and RE4/5 fans at once. And failed at doing both.
Has anyone tried the iOS/Android version?
IF $$$ was the major reason, then he should've gone with MS easily.

Water is wet :P but with 6tflops on 1080p, u will get some really incredible visuals. Way better than average 4k graphics. I mean 4k res, but res of the graphics is average due to 4k needs. But on 1080p u can really create some awesome visuals.
