I think you're being disrespectful, Resident Evil was one of the titles to rejuvenate survival horror. Most of the games you seem to think have already been there done that took a little to a lot of inspiration from Resident Evil in the first place, you don't want to finish the game that's fine but don't insult the franchise as some kind of me too newcomer.

I disagree that Resident Evil 7 is nothing special outside of VR. I admit the game tailed off for me towards the end and went from a 9/10 to a high 7 low 8 but the whole part in the house itself and Jack Baker nailed it for me.

For the people moaning about false advertisement look up the E3 video for Killzone 2 or the first trailer for Halo 2. This is not new, it's happened before and it will happen again it's life in the video game world.
