This sucks so badly. This was going to be such a great game. Konami is really screwing up by letting Kojima walk free. I was hoping that this game would be saved, but it seems like all of this Kojima/Konami mess is really happening.
@pivotplease, "Ni No Kuni was great from an artistic standpoint, but a lot of the RPG elements were under-developed, the battle system was boring/repetitive, the sidequests were actually trash, and the game itself was way too easy by JRPG standards."
You didn't get very far did you? Out of all the jrpgs released last gen, this game had the most jrpg elements out of all of them. Ni No Kuni had everything missing from almost all other jrpgs. Ni No Kuni was extreme...
That was actually a very good read. They got 11 clicks from me. I really agree with most of the points made. PS4 is just a great console and it's ok for Xbox One to be second best to the PS4. Sony is doing a great job of bringing the best console experience this gen. Having the most gaming content and Sony's amazing history of support is the reason why PS4 is better. The competition is getting crushed by a great console. No shame in that.
Money does indeed talk. I think MS is paying for slight relevancy this gen. PS4 is already widely known as the must have console of the generation. MS is not making deals to win at this point. They just want to keep the Xbox name relevant in case they actually decide to make a another Xbox next generation, granted, it also helps the Xbox brand potential buyers and selling price.
Lets not forget a possible beta, exclusive footage at major PS events such as E3 and exclusive content that will no doubt happen. I'm sure Sony is waiting for E3 to expose the full extent of this deal.
I'm almost sure there will be a beta that PS4 gamers get to play first.
Yes, It does happen every year. It doesn't really work in MS's favor anymore though, because almost every game sells better on PS4 most of the time regardless of marketing rights. It's easy money for publishers I guess. Getting a nice check from MS to keep Xbox One relevant while selling better on PS4. Win win situation. I think MS relies on these deal a lot more too, because of their exigent focus on the holidays compared to the rest of the year.
"ya im having a blast with my xbox one."
700p.
This would be the start for Sony and Nintendo teaming up!
@jackanderson1985
A price cut and one big game from Sony would kill any Halo Xbox one holiday hype.
These numbers don't even add China sales.
Competition is good. It's good to see Bloodborne on top. Well deserved to PS4 and Bloodborne.
I didn't realize that the Xbox One version was already confirmed when I made my comment. If it's a marketing deal that's still huge.
This is a bigger deal than destiny imo.
PS4 and PC exclusive?
Good decision. I hope you enjoy your PS4.
Pretty much
"If anyone can even notice that is."
Whether you notice or not doesn't change the fact of PS4 having the better resolution.
Very good opinion piece. I agree with everything you said. Most Xbox fanboys come up with crazy reasons to defend Xbox One even though PS4 is clearly the best console out atm. There's a reason why PS4 have double the sales of Xbox One. You won't get a true next gen experience without owning a PS4 or PC this gen.
@ morgan, Thanks for that link. It's crazy to think that Konami would be that greedy for short term mobile profits. The mobile gaming industry will become over-saturated in the future and all of these once great AAA companies like Konami will be so lost in the low quality rubbish that their name will no longer carry any weight in the gaming industry. They're choosing to live the fast life instead of thinking of long term stability.
I'll be happy once mgsv is relea...
