Well, WiiU did go head to head with Xbox One global sales last week. So I wouldn't call it a Dreamcast 2 just yet. It's competing very well with Xbox One.
WiiU is putting up a good fight against Xbox One. I'm impressed. WiiU is not going down without a fight. Almost outsold Xbox One for the week.
Finally, A steam machine article I agree with. If you already have a gaming PC, steam machine would be a downgrade even if you have weaker hardware.
But unlike Microsoft, Sony actually talked about games and not TV, sports and voice recognition at their reveal. Sony is talking games first, TV second. The opposite of what MS is doing with Xbox One. Gaming seems secondary on Xbox One.
Still currently playing Ni no kuni, but I would say yes. This game have revived any hope I had lost for jrpgs. Ni no kuni is so good, I would buy Ni no kuni 2 over FFXV if they both were released at the same time.
Wow, first Netflix then Twitch. Playstation is doing these services a lot of good.
You can clearly see PS4 has more demand than Xbox One. The sales gap will continue to grow. I expect more fanboy meltdowns later in the year when it's undeniably clear who's winning next gen.
Also, I haven't lol so hard at an article title in a while now. Thanks op.
The one currently in my house.
Zelda Ocarina of time should be first.
Great job Sony. 4.2 million sales is amazing. I bet Nintendo wish they had agreed to terms.
WiiU is a major flop. If this year sales does not pick up, I can see WiiU becoming Dreamcast 2.
But I've have had a Steam machine for a while now. It's called PC gaming rig. Just buy or build a gaming PC, and you'll have a far superior Steam machine.
"just because a console is not selling as well as another doesn't mean it's a flop"
Since when? WiiU is definitely a flop. After having a chance to stay on top following the success of Wii, Nintendo drop the ball really hard. Now they're in the "way of Sega" conversation.
Too bad it won't tap into the hidden sales of the WiiU. Core games never sell well on the WiiU, unless you put Mario in the title.
When It comes to games, PS4 and Xbox One are even so far. WiiU leading with the games atm.
Their most interesting product was their 4k tvs, and Samsung clearly have them beat there. Overpriced tvs and the lack of innovative products is what I got from that conference.
Edit: I don't care too much for 4k tvs atm, but you can clearly see that Samsung is trying something new with their tvs while Sony is just going for the higher resolution.
So according to this article, If Sony doesn't tout their sales numbers and play war of the words with MS, It's unclear who's leading? Lmao. Just pay attention to MS and It's very clear who's leading.
This is huge if true. I'm looking forward to VR gaming in the future.
Not really, WiiU numbers are very similar to Gamecube and they are expected to fall even more during January. Those numbers are only good for low standards.
I can't believe that the better cheaper more powerful console is selling better./s
