This is just common sense. This game is exploitive, and unlike the violence justified in other games, this is violence that glorifies real acts that are fresh in peoples minds. This is the reason why we get such a bad rap---no it's not the same as movies, novels, etc. Common sense. By releasing this kind of game, the media is going to have a field day and the pop/nickel psychologists are going to use this on a "fair and balanced" network to talk about how video games desensitize...
So many things were wrong IMO for ME3 and one of the main issues was the lack of a real dialogue system for NPC quests and the "dumbing" down of the RPG elements. The main characters didn't feel as fleshed out as ME 2 and the idea that the Spectre system was supposedly so great is laughable at best.
One of the reasons I dropped my preorder for PS4--lack of launch titles I want. I figure I've never been an early adapter so why start now. Going to wait till at least 3-4 games I really want are out then compare the systems when the dust is more settled
I actually agree with Paris over this. Usually I can't stand their banter but I'm probably going to cancel my PS4 preorder because there aren't really games I want to play coming out until mid year 2014. I enjoyed both consoles 360 PS3 but found PS3 had better RPG's overall and ended up getting the ones that I wanted that Xbox had first.
Exactly; as a psychologist myself, the new version has so many completely ridiculous "disorders" identified. It's like GTFO already.
If true; it is indeed a double edged sword. IMO EA does "ick" as a company (choices, creative decisions etc.) but it really does appear casually as the market is suffering and this may portend of future troubles for other companies. I agree that this extended cycle hasn't been great for gaming in general, although some excellent titles have been released. We're all entitled to our opinion. I read about perceptions of the ending w/o spoilers before I completed it and was majorly disappointed. The rainbow of choices I could have lived w but the whole "god child" was the definition of a Deus Ex Machina and ruined the ending-I don't detest Bioware or it's writers but after DA 2 and this, no more preorders and must buy automatically. I l loved their inclusion of SS choices but that writing choice was questionable IMO
