People didn't buy the U last gen for a plethora of reasons, but very little had to do with their online infrastructure. It was a joke, but so was the ps2's. And by that era we already had one of the best early community platforms of it's time, MSN gaming with Age Of Empires 2. Ps2 must have been dead in the water, rig-

Tens of millions of people don't play it online. But people who play offline are boring statistics as online is where they sell dem shark cards.

No other company lied about next gen versions/pc versions until they maxed sales on the ps3 version -> current gen version first either.

That triple dip tho R*.

God knows after all those decades of primarily male leads, female leads need their time to shine... But it's starting to age on me a little bit.

..I wonder how many of these stories are being made genuinely because they're better with a female lead focus or because the diversity agenda is currently a race car going full speed, sideways, on an oil spill?

Well.. It's definitely better than not having them at all I guess, Ellie made TLOU:LB for m...

I'll never get used to seeing my childhood superhero's replaced/killed off to make way for a diversity agenda. Never will, and I'll ~never~ support that crap.

..That's the problem with this, the agenda is so important they can't even wait to hire new writing talent to come up with a ~new~ diverse superhero.. Why do that when they can take a popular character and just gender/color swap em instead, right?.. All that matters is the social justice anyways, r...

Couldn't agree more, I'm salty as this ~should~ have been in U4 is it REALLY showed. A polished pretty experience but a 1 pump 13 hour interactive movie is all it was. It was obviously missing Chloe on purpose. I wonder how much of Chloe's, "dlc", was already made before U4 even dropped. I'm willing to bet a reasonable portion of it.

A sneaky way to get people to pay 100 dollars for a single video game that's for sure.

Of course there is, why support backwards compatibility when you can charge full price for remasters?

100 dollar Bloodborne, "ultimate blood edition", coming for the ps5. There was a reason we didn't get a pro version. ;)

Ps2 was not a 13 year console. The ps3 came out 6 years after the ps2. Even if there was a handful of games still left to be released on it here and there, it doesn't mean it was a 13 year platform. Everyone had moved to the ps3 long long long long before 13 years.

Vita was fun, I really enjoyed No More Heroes and a few others.. A shame we may not see a successor considering the entire world is going mobile rightfully so.

..If Nintendo can bring console quality to a handheld, I can't see why Sony can't.

A base platform for consoles, a, "pro", platform for enthusiasts, and a lower resolution handheld that plays them all on the go..

Seems kinda obvious to me. Bring all games to eac...

Personally besides Bloodborne/Disgaea 5/TLOU remastered and a bit of Persona 5, the Ps4 has been awful for me.. Years of sitting around waiting for a game that comes out that's worth playing more than an afternoon or 3.

Easily the worst generation of consoles I've ever seen, so few standout titles on all platforms. The only one so far that's blows me away so far is the Switch, even though they have a serious lack of 3rd party, their first party lineup/confirmed ...

The footage of running around killin gangsters, blowin up cars and super jumping around a big open world city?

Nah, it looks fine. People's expectations in this place are completely unreasonable.

Mehhh, there's a problem with M$ exclusives, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

State of Decay 2 looks like it's going to be one of my GOTY contenders. Crackdown looks like hundreds of hours of sandbox fun. And even though I'm not interested in Sea of Thieves or Cuphead, lots of other people are excited for them.

In comparison Sony's lineup so far this year is only this strong because of several big games that were delay...

I want to believe, I'm just not openly trying to look for reasons to give me hope when the legs on the stool are starting to wobble.

If it ends up being a whole new epic I'll be really happy, but I'm not certain that's what we are going to see.

Much, much higher.

If they toss some good Wii U ports in alongside this lineup, drop the price 50 bucks and get more of these things out of the factory we're finally looking at a console that'll top the Wii.

Console games on the go while combining both the handheld AND console game library of the most iconic gaming developer/company on the planet...

Yea... Everything's been done now in some form of entertainment or another.

...Let's, "really", translate this...

~The genre in question is too saturated with quality examples of entertainment, we're afraid we'll be incapable of meeting the high genre expectations that other developers/writers have set in the past so we'll pick something more obscure to get an easy leg up, much like we did with Dishonored.

What gamers really should get is the full game they payed for, and not having obvious main parts of the game ripped out mid development and resold as dlc later on so they can be sly about charging 100+ dollars a game.

I'd say the vast majority of iconic DLC in the last 5 years were pretty obviously torn out of the main game to form an incomplete product. It's just developers are getting sly about it, and fans are apologetic or flat out ignoring it happening.

Leaving a clan is a difficult decision?.. Like, if you don't jive with them, why stay?.. /gquit right?

The hardest thing I deal with as a gamer is ignoring sociopaths in multiplayer games.
