Does anyone else think that Apple may have changed the traditional game model? Apple's success has come off the back of releasing slightly updated hardware every year. Last year's model still runs what this year's model can but has a few more bells and whistles. Marketing at its best, I guess. Apple's obviously not in the core games market, but they may be the blueprint that Sony (and possibly Microsoft) may look to follow in the future?
I agree with kissmeimgreek except I would go so far as to label FF XIII rubbish.

It is not because it went multiplat that people see it as rubbish it is because it lacked the three big things FF games are known for: a compelling story where you feek connected to the characters, an ability to explore open world environments and have some options around when you want to do things etc, and a meaningful levelling up system.

I think the Wii is rubbish but it has killed both other consoles. So all these posts are arguing over who will come second this generation? Doesn't seem much point to me...
