It's not as good as I thouht it'd be either, but I still think it's a good game. I'm actually kind of pissed that it kept getting thrown in our faces how great it was, when imo most of the games I bought in 07 are better than this game. Especially Uncharted and Ratchet and clank. They scored lower though, of course.
I don't think anyone who wanted to buy this game because it looked good to them really care. It's good to see that the visuals have been updated and that they're responding to the criticisms though. I'll be getting both this and dead space.

THIS is a survival horror game. It isn't a shooter disguised as a horror game with a cover system and various amounts of ammo supplied throughout the level. It's actually scary and makes you use your supplies wisely.

I'm amazed that people now look at 10's for a PS3 game to be the minimum and not a massive achievement. It's all MGS4's fault. :( Meanwhile 360 games can get 8's and still be cool.
