The medic goes up to people when people go into the "dying" animation. They can go up to them and heal them so they don't have to respawn, or in non respawn games, die for the whole round.
How POG still lives in the open zone is baffling to me. There are others on this site that have careful fanboyism where it's obvious they're fanboys, but they don't use any "uhoh" fanboy words so they're in the clear. POG just doesn't even do THAT and still manages to still post in the gamer zone.
