Difference is since there's not a limit on filesize on the PSN and this is a regular PSX ISO, there are none of the graphical and audio anomalies/absences that the 360 version has.
Not that I wouldn't play it anyway, but this is the purest version.
The headline is kind of misleading, in my opinion. He's a lot less accusatory in the actual quote, and you can't really argue with what he says. The power is there, but third parties have to learn it, and they're not putting forth the effort necessary so far(Guerrilla Games, Ninja Theory, Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Epic, Free Radical, Polyphony Digital, and such are proving that the results can be achieved). Is the effort required too much for the potential gain? Perhaps, at this stage of th...
It depends entirely on how Sigma does. If it sells 150,000 copies, no way in hell. If it sells 1 million copies(hey, with about 4 million PS3s actually sold and owners starved for games, who knows), it'll almost certainly be on PS3.
I think Europe and NA will be a different story, if Motorstorm and Resistance have already broken a million copies. I know my game collection is almost doubling when I get The Darkness next week and Sigma the week after that, and I'll finally have a halfway respectable game collection for PS3 that will last until the fall games.
Boy I wish people would stop posting this as news, because every time I hope that it's new games, and every time it's the same old announcement of games for the UK store that aren't "new" at all but having been released there yet because they get everything after everyone else.
Oh, and the coders they have porting the games wouldn't be working on other games anyway, it's done by the studio whose primary responsibility is the PSN. It's not like they go to Zipper Inter...
Sly Cooper 4, God of War III, Jak and Daxter, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Resistance 2 aren't confirmed. Kingdom Hearts 3 may not even be on the PS3. Sucker Punch and SCE Santa Monica have said they're working on new IPs, which means Sly Cooper 4 and God of War 3 aren't happening anytime soon.
I own a PS3 - the only next gen system I own - but don't put some BS/non-confirmed titles and then claim it's a "real" exclusive list.
Also, you missed LA Noire, one ...
The graphics are not impressive, but I'm glad it's on an HD system so I won't get all those fantastic jaggies.
Wow, I thought this game was dead.
First of all, not many kids owning the game is reason to try to appeal to them. Second of all, Sony owns the Parappa IP.
Deep, it was already delayed a few months.
Anyway in gameplay trailers this game keeps looking less compelling gameplay-wise and more PS2-like graphics-wise. There are plenty of PS3 games I'm looking forward to, but while this used to be one, it no longer is.
I love how this same damn rumor comes up once a month, every month.
Waiting to see something from SCE before I believe any of this BS.
That being said, if it happens I'll get one to use for remote play from work, downloading videos/music from the PSN, and playing official games, and retire my old one for emulation. Dark Alex is getting a little slow on the firmwares.
If this is true, this is a bigger letdown than the Pac-Man thing, because we knew about this game before that gay podcast.
It looks neat and all, but it's an MMO and it's being rushed out the door. Who cares.
Jaffe had nothing to do with God of War 2 and won't have anything to do with any future God of War games. He just wants to make downloadable PSN titles now, and has been very vocal about that.
Cory Barlog is in charge of the project. Either he's lying about them not working on the game because they don't have the go-ahead, or it really is a new game, but it has nothing to do with what Jaffe is doing.
Per the leaked materials iirc, they "need" to have all their Marvel games, which include an X men trilogy and Spider-man 3, out by 2033. So they don't get to just do Marvel at their own pace, they have a deal where they are paying to license the IPs and they only have that for a certain time. Of course these deals can be renegotiated but I think the team that's working on Marvel stuff will stay on Marvel stuff as long as they can. IIRC, in one of the roadmaps that leaked, al...
