heroicjanitor what about people who rent games. An don't even go there with that they make no money crap. The DLC rape train on dam near any game these days is fulls speed ahead. You can't even get a fighting game these days with a complete roster.
I love steam sales but see those huge packs of games people like to talk about. I always see people with tons of games on their steam list they will never touch. That's why when people say oh look I've got a 150 games on my steam list, its really not impressive. Considering they probably play tops a quarter of them and that would be pushing it.
@stevenhiggster I agree with you fully, though the biggest reason for Dice. Dedicating so many resources to utilizing the PC's latest and greatest is because one they have the budget and two the man power and three its a big PC title. So as nice as BF3 will look. Even if multiplatform games that were on PC as well and had the PC as lead. I doubt they would all look as good as BF3 does.
Not to mention for a lot of games out there PC is not their biggest platform. An quite ...
@zeksta Ok lets be honest here for a minute. BF3 has only been shown running on a high end PC. An COD's biggest market is consoles. So the graphics shown thus far really won't make much of a difference as far as consoles are concerned. Then there are people who genuinely enjoy cods play style over battlefields. The rock papers scissors balance and indefinite spawn trapping from BC2. Is not the most enticing online play for a lot of consumers.
An to the article they di...
You are not assuring me of anything when I have the damn game myself. It looks like trash on any settings so you can hold your unnecessary response from her on out. If I need someone to tell me what a game looks like on my PC I'll let you know. MOH was a garbage game, BC2 spawn trapping and rock paper scissors balance you can have it. Crysis used for a benchmark more then a game. Arma 2 again boring, team fortress 2 still boring played it for like 8 hours I tried to force it. Sniper ghost...
Ok for one the majority resolution is 1280x720 so get that right. 2 my point was the majority of games that can be directly compared do not showcase a major difference. If the difference was so great then even comparing directly at 720p resolution would show a huge gap but it doesn't. An the games that don't run at that rez most of them are garbage anyway. Homefront being the perfect recent example looks like **** even on pc 1920x1080 60fps in directx 11.
You can spen...
That over exaggerated inflated bs arrogant, egotistical statement. Is the exact reason why you have two bubbles going on 1. An why the majority of people on this site and GT can't stand PC gamers. I play PC/PS3 so don't even attempt bsing me with a response.
The difference in plenty of games is marginal at best even now. An the over exaggeration of jaggies plz. As for Bullet Storm I can't speak for that as I couldn't stand playing that game beyond a demo. PC p...
QuodEratDemonstrandm I agree, though what's with the line steal E3 again. I mean I think its cool... all the same but E3 is about games last time I checked. There has been one winner for E3 since this gen got started as far as games are concerned.
You get tired of defending it, well I get tired of stating why the reason you gave have flaws.
Better graphics- Yes obviously but not everyone has a computer that can run said game. Therefore that on its own starts the fragmentation in differentiating experiences. Also doesn't matter much when the game you want to play is only on console and a lot of great games are.
Cheaper games- That has become more and more debatable as of late when talking current ga...
The 8800 GTX came out at one of the best times ever. It was good bang for the buck and happened to hit the sweetest spot I have ever seen a graphics card hit. A phenomenon if you will, I have yet to see another card hit that spot yet. Which is why if you look at various cards now on newegg. You will see plenty of people having to upgrade from the nvidia 200 and amd 4000 series higher cards. Even though most of those cards barely just turned 2 years old.
Even now some of the c...
That depends on where the industry is at the time you build your PC. If it is in a transition like it was when I bought a GTX275 end of July a little under 2 years ago then you would be upgrading. The card was already struggling to run quite a few games at 1280x768 never mind 1080.
Exclusives drive the console not only in sales but showcase what the system can do. As well as securing great games that people will want to buy that are only on that system. The reason I have a PC/PS3 setup is because there are tons of games I love to play on PS3. An the games on 360 I cared to play I can play on PC. On top of that I still can play games like DOWII and Witcher 2.
There is an experience I have with my PS3 that I do not have on my PC. An there is an experience...
@Saryk you know my car gets 35mpg, stops on a dime and has great AC. Though in a car show competition non of that sh*t matters to the judges. Same with this discussion it doesn't matter that you can use office 2010 on your PC. We are talking about gaming on one and that is it.
Shnazzyone You are not understanding my full point. Consoles are in part as affordable as they can be and must make a leap in capabilities completely enough to last at least 7 years. That means current high end tech like a GTX 580 currently cost $500+ not even including anything else. To provide a gap large enough to make it a leap in capabilities would cost far to much at this point. You have to remember building a console is not just throwing random pc parts in a box. That is why the curren...
My thing is what people are expecting from this hardware wise from what I've read is ridiculous. 1080p 60fps on every game I mean really...... Its expectations like that, that show me there are a lot of people don't have a really good grasp on current tech. A console of which seems to be slightly better still needs to be cost effective to compete. This thing is not about to pop up on stage with 4gb of ram, i5 2500k and a GTX 580.
The biggest thing about this move is ...
My thing is a lot of people around here like to the spout the word innovation. Yet they don't even have the first clue about what they would even want. Non of the bs people claim they want even makes it a better game. All I've heard is a bunch of stuff that relates to Battefield. Well it isn't battlefield nor do I want it to be. I hate ground war as it is and I can't sand the spawn trapping and rock paper scissors balance of Bad Company 2.
Forcing you to play ...
I wish they would update killing floor instead of working on that.
Possible because they find COD more fun then Battlefield. I played BF2 and BC2 which I got when it was on sale on steam recently. In my experience with Bad Company 2 went kind of like this. Start run through cover get shot, respawn get hit by tank. Respawn as engineer, now spawn trapped, enemy in a half circle formation. Get shot from every direction and get strafed by a helicopter GAME OVER. If that is supposed to be fun then I guess I'm just doing it wrong.
mrv321 1080p 60FPS, you sure about that cause this video says otherwise.

Actually the part about PC players is an add on to showcase exactly what has happened already in the comment section. The influx in stupid PC articles is relevant as we don't need 50 articles stating the same thing over and over. Which in the past week or so I swear I've seen over 12 articles about building some low budget PC that won't even come close to maxing everything even at 720p. Then the captain obvious PC articles about how said game is going to look better on PC.
